Wings

Flying? Ultralight triking? Yeah dudes, that's the evolution of all the possibilities of exploring. Leave the ground and fly, just as in the dream!
But why ultralight trike? It is the simplest way of flying with a propulsion, with a hangglide wing and a simple seat with an engine and a fan. That's all. Look at this:

Brother Wright and other pioneers have launched the new era of flying, something that now for everybody is quite normal, just take an airplane and go to the other side of the world. But at the very core there is the purest and simplest attitude of the spirit to take a wing, run fast and trying to fly! Not big jet and power propulsion, but the keen sensation of feel the air and the emptiness around and flowing in the air!

Flying for me remain an adventure and and a fun and adrenaline experience! So I started dreaming a flying bike just for fly only with pedal power. I've searched on the web for similar projects and I found some very engineered machine like the MIT Daedalus and the Gossamer Albatross. But of course for flying you need power, and so human power is not enough to gain altitude. Therefore the more obvious machine is a simple Rogallo wing with a powered trike.

When I was teenager my neighborhood used to fly over my village with an ultralight trike, and I was always curious to fly on a airplane like that. May years later I had the occasion to experiment a fly in a flying school with an ultralight trike and that was quite awesome, it was like riding a flying motorbike! Finally I've seen how much versatile a flying trike can be, since it can take off and land almost everywhere when I discovered the adventures of Mike Blyth and Olivier Aubert. Just look to their website Monkeys in the Sky trike expeditions. It's amazing and it would be another adventurous way to travel the world.

For the moment I'm just attending some classes of Paragliding in a club close to Belluno in the Dolomiti mountains. Here a nice video of my first steps as a flying Duck.
