Boards

I think there is a misunderstooding about winter sport in the snow: media folklore has always showed daredevil athlets performing adrenalinic downhill and freestyle tricks on steep snowed mountain sides.

But my experience with snowboarding and skiing it's totally different. What i like most is falling down and roll over in the snow!  That's fantastic how this mystic element is comfortable in embrace you and sfotening your errors. The snow and mountains have a secret spiritual bond that make people happy, it take out our inner ingenuity and spontaneity and let them jump out in all their eagerness and  playfulness. It's not about big scores, it's about big fun!

Dolomiti mountains close to Belluno, north-east Italy.

And where I've found big fun it was in mountain places where there weren't crowds of people and had to pay for a skipass, but where I had to gain the altitude with my legs and climb the snow on untouched slopes covered with soft and pristine white. It was fun joint with a sense of wild prudence, the sensation of be a part of the nature of the mountain and amuse with her with respect and courage.

Mount Grappa, north-east Alps. A nice spot where practice free-riding

What about the other boards?! Surf and skateboard? Yeah those are other lovely sports to do on the board. Everything born in the Hawaii Ilands, where Polynesians used to surf with wood boards in the Pacific Ocean. Then this lifestyle was exported in California, and then arose the skateboarding culture. Lately arrived also the time to use the board on the snow. Lovely, the boards are awesome in unite cultures and people of different geographies.
