Take action! This is a blog of adventure and enterprise, of spontaneous initiative and free will. It's about loving nature for its frailty but at the same time for its power and greatness. I'm not an ardent environmentalist, I'm human and human well being has to be at the top of priority, but humans have to be defended against themselves.

We are very able to destroy the environment in which we live and consequently deteriorate ourselves and the future generations. So the point it's not about protect the environment (Mother Nature can be thousands and thousand time more destructive with herself than all the power of humankind put together) but protect future generations and future human beings, and with them all the biosphere world in which they will live. Since everything in the biosphere is deeply interconnected we have the duty of preserve the equilibrium in which we are born, because once this balance is lost there is not way back. We have still time but our ignorance of how much far away we can still go forward with this lifestyle is not something that can leave us indifferent - like horse's blinkers - but should sprout in everybody prudence and boost deeper consciousness of our world and our society.

So the imperative is only one: engage yourself! It's about community engagement and local activism, the only way in which everybody can really contribute. If you live in Europe and you want to save the Amazon Rainforest it's not going to Brazil that will help much. Maybe it's raising awareness here in the old continent about lifestyles and alternatives that will help both society here and rainforestes around the world. And then there is internet, we can support other organizations and communities around the world in their struggles promoting their initiatives, spreading their claims in our society and offering them wide and supportive public opinion. It's a network of people and organizations all around the world that have to cooperate together for everyone's sake. Preserving the balance can last only through cooperation, awareness and spontaneous engagement.
